美国商科研究生对本科先修课的要求

美国商学院是很多同学的梦想，但是美国商学院的录取条件是非常苛刻的，美国商科研究生申请也不是一件轻而易举的事情，所以大多数同学都在努力提高GPA,不断刷新G/T成绩，四处寻找可提高自身背景的实习及科研资源，以为这样就万无一失了。然而对商科申请同样很重要的先修课，却没有得到同样的重视。所谓先修课prerequisite courses，就是指学生本科教育期间基本上要修过与申请项目相关的一些课程。

很多商科项目的官网上明确要求申请者有一定的相关背景并在开始申请前修完一定的先修课程。例如比较热门的金融，金融工程，会计，以及统计项目会要求申请者必须在本科阶段修过一定的相关课程，就经济项目，也会要求申请者有一定的专业背景，比如 纽约大学的经济项目除了要求申请者修过微积分，线性代数等数学课程 ，还要求申请者有中级微观经济学和中级宏观观经济学的背景。

不要以为学校对这些先修课的要求只是说说而已，像密歇根安娜堡大学的会计项目 ，你很可能会因为没有完成学校要求的先修课而无法提交网申。又比如说 克拉克大学的金融项目如果未完成学校要求的先修课 ，即便能满足学校的各项申请要求，再完成先修课之前也只能拿到一个conditional offer。

下面我们看一下几个热门院校和热门专业，大学官网对先修课的要求。

金融方向：

哥伦比亚大学商学院的Master of Science in Financial Economic金融经济学硕士

Prerequisite Courses

Prior to commencing the program, all admitted students would be required to complete the following courses at an advanced undergraduate level:

Probability（概率论）

Statistics（统计学）

Microeconomics（微观经济学）

Two semester of Calculus（2个学期的微积分）

Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory（线性代数和矩阵理论）

Computer programming（计算机编程）

纽约大学商学院的MS in Quantitative Finance计量金融学硕士

To apply, applicants must demonstrate how they meet, or plan to meet, pre-enrollment course requirements. Specifically, applicants must have successfully completed the listed credits/courses below with a minimum grade of "B" prior to enrolling in the program. 先修课的GPA要求最低是B， 不仅仅是要求你课程满足，对你先修课的成绩也是有一定的要求的，所以大家要注意，这也是我们一直强调的要早启动早规划，只有提前规划和了解了院校的录取要求，才会有目标的按照学校的要求去准备。

商务分析方向：

南加州大学的Master of Science in Business Analytics商务分析硕士

南加大的商务分析专业，对先修课要求的不多，但是对统计学课程是有要求的，必须至少完成一门统计学课程All applicants must also have completed at least one statistics course at the undergraduate level or above, with no exceptions.

We do not have any required pre-enrollment courses, however, we strongly encourage applicants to complete a statistics course before applying.

We find students who have taken at least one statistics course at the college level are most successful in the program.

卡耐基梅隆大学的MISM Business Intelligence & Data Analytics商业智能和数据分析硕士，也是商务分析的一种，只是叫法不同。

金融会计和管理会计主要课程We expect that a large majority of students will come from undergraduate business, or economics backgrounds and will have hence completed the basic financial accounting and managerial accounting core courses. Students who do not have formal coursework in accounting could also be admitted.

同时，还建议学习SQL语言，数据编程语言，还有统计学相关的SPSS, SAS, STATA和MATLAB.(In addition,it is highly recommended that students develop some knowledge and experience working with SQL, a database programming language, and any one of the statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS, Stata, and Matlab prior to joining the MS program.)

看到这么多的先修课，大家可能会感到压力山大，不过只要早早的规划，完成这些先修课并不是什么难事。首先要到自己的dream school官网上确定一下学校确切的先修课要求，然后了解自己本科专业课程设置，看是否能满足自己欲申请项目的要求，如不能满足，可选修自己本校其他院系设置的相关课程。如果条件允许的话，也可申请美国的summer school，美国大学summer school既能帮助你提升学术背景，满足研究生申请先修课要求，又能拿到国外名校的教授推荐信，提高录取成功率。
